This past week we’ve been prototyping Clear on Apple Watch. There’s more work to do but we have a solid initial rougher version up and running.
Functionality wise would probably target:
• View your lists
• Check off and uncheck items
• Add items
• Basic theme support
Curious on the level of interest for it!
I will also note that we are also early into an even larger project and evaluating its scope right now… more on that hopefully relatively soon. But these projects and early prototyping has been keeping us extra busy lately in an exciting way. Will try to catch up properly on the forums this weekend.
I would definitely use it… Please also include Complications. A circular one with the item count of a specified list, for easy access to that list. It would be awesome if we could use multiple circular complications for different lists. Also, a rectangular one that shows the title and first item(s) of a specified list, so you can always see the next thing you need to do.
It’s a bit of a puzzle porting Clear over because SwiftUI and Apple Watch has a lot less support for custom interfaces and interactions in general. But I feel like we have a pretty solid and useful tiny Clear for your wrist so far and it’s pretty cute!
There’s at least another decent pass to do to get it to close to shipping (theme support, probably a simple complication that can be useful as a quick shortcut to the full app etc.)
I think we’ll do round 2 on this later this month after a bit more internal testing, which so far after some usage over the weekend, feels pretty solid!
