Clear Cloud (iOS Sync & Web) Alpha Test

Hi @Bosse, have you tried tapping the Clear widget while in the customizing mode for the lock-screen? There you can set which list the widget will open when tapped, it may be that the widget is currently set to an old list that was discarded and setting a new one may refresh things.

It should fill when you check everything off!

List syncs are working great; however, when I add a reminder day and time, it is not syncing between my phone and iPad.

If things go as planned the next build should enable reminders syncing!

I have noticed several times that when I mark completed tasks as uncompleted by swiping right on them, the tasks first pop up as uncompleted, then immediately pop back down as completed tasks!

@Bosse, you’re experiencing this on the phone client Testflight build 9346? I will attempt to replicate the issue here.

It also happens on my iPad!

I think I got it. My iPad was set to the San Francisco font and my iPhone was set to Helvetica light. And the iPhone kept syncing the font from the iPad, I guess. Up until now, there was no sync, so I could keep different fonts on each device :smiley:

It would be cool if the fonts didn’t sync, but it’s no big issue

I have added two new Lists under My Lists in Clear app on my Ipad,
but it does not sync to Clear app on my iPhone and not to Clear Web!

Thank you for the feedback. Could you please try the below and share the observations:
(Since this is an early release, if the newly created lists on the iPhone contain important data, I would suggest backing up the contents of those two lists)

  1. If existing lists are updated (items added / updated), are those changes synced across all devices? E.g. if you update an existing list on the iPhone app (not the newly created ones), do the changes sync to the iPad and web?
  2. If you close the Clear app on the iPhone ( Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support (CA) ), re-open and keep it open for a couple of minutes, do the lists sync?

These observations could help us narrow the scenario.

I have now tested according to your suggestion.

Change on iPhone does not sync to iPad!
But it’s sync to Web!

Change on iPad does not sync to iPhone!
And it does not sync to Web!

Change on Web it’s sync to iPhone!
Change on Web does not sync to iPad!

Hi @Bosse , it seems the iPad is running the App Store version of the app which does not have support for syncing.

For sync to work, each device should have the Sync Testflight build installed, should be using the same Apple account and logged-in inside the Clear app.

The original post has the steps for the installation. I would recommend taking a backup on both the iPhone and the iPad before installing the Sync Testflight build on the iPad.

I have tried to do your suggestion, but you can see I got a Clear Bug Report again!
Should I delete Clear on my iPad first and then follow your suggestion?
The App Information on The Clear app on my iPad are Version: 100.0.0 (9346)
