Clear 2.4 is out! (Featuring Clear Pro with Apple Watch, Lock Screen Widgets etc.)

I updated, I have the promo code applied but still seeing the Pro features not indicated as “Unlocked.” They do seem to be working though. Also in the store now none of the items have prices and I’m unable to buy anything, it hangs on Fetching from App Store… message at the top. Have to force close the app.

fyi, the swipe-far-right-to-set a-reminder bug on SE2 is still current.

I’ve updated and the legacy features are marked as unlocked and working in practice, so all good there.

Minor quibble: despite this I can’t unlock the Members Only theme in the Rewards section - it’s showing as 0% and doesn’t unlock when I swipe. I’m acknowledged as a subscriber in the Clear Pro section, so shouldn’t I be able to access this reward? Have rebooted iPhone but hasn’t made a difference.

Thanks for the continuing development you’re putting into Clear, it’s still the app I use the most.

@huett that’s good to hear, hoping the next update should fix this for you, it will include a fix for the reward.

General update: 2.4.1 seems to have fixed the invalid receipt issue for about 60% of those affected… so now down to something like 2-3% who would still have this issue. We have another fix idea we will try, but may need to focus on making sure the remaining at least have their legacy status. And then separately deal with this getting in the way of them subscribing.

Hi Phill, at this point if we received a pro code, and we were initially on TestFlight, are we supposed to enter the code? Currently my Clear is showing Legacy, but there is no place for me to sign up or enter the code. Thanks

Yes you should apply the code, you can redeem it in the App Store app: How to redeem your Apple Gift Card, App Store Card, or App Store & iTunes Gift Card - Apple Support

I mean, I guess you could technically just skate by with the accidental TestFlight status transferring lol. But promo code should make it more official!

We will see if we can fix this TF specific issue but since it was relatively limited to ~45 testers, we are trying to manually support as we can, and focusing on fixing a couple other issues affecting more people first.

This is a bug that was mentioned in a recent appstore review. Someone said that they could not use your temporary reminder method, which as I understand it is to swipe right on a list item all the way past the check-off.

You responded that there’s a bug with SE and some other devices and that you’d be looking into it. My phone is an SE2,

Hey there, it seems that review was edited recently and our response is from ~ a year ago (will be updating that). Currently, reminders can be set by typing out a date or time, and tapping the “Set Reminder” option that appears at the top of the keyboard.

Up until the most recent updates you were also able to tap in the top right area of an item to pull up a date/time selector, but unfortunately we’ve temporarily disabled this due to reports of accidental inputs causing unwanted reminders. We’re looking into an alternative there.

Will you at some point be coming out with a user manual / walk-thru covering the ins-and-outs of using Clear? I love what you guys are doing and am thrilled to have Clear in my attention-challenged life, but this is a missing piece.

I know it’s difficult & time-consuming to produce a video not least because it would be a temporary snapshot in time for a rapidly-evolving app, but you could make it modular – short segments which you can separately and more-easily update.
Short of that, a written user manual with screenshots in “Support” would help. And a sub-reddit?
