Clear 2.1.1 is now available on the App Store.
I know itâs my fault for refusing to upgrade my phone, but whatever padding you cut at the top now has the list title running into the status bar, likely for anyone under an iPhone X, in case you werenât aware.
Oh! Crap yeah I wasnât testing with the status bar on. Weâll fix this in 2.1.2.
The widgets really are amazing. Clear was already the most useful app out there and now that usefulness has increased ten-fold
Honestly my lists are way too cluttered and verbose and I want to get to a state where theyâre simplified and cleaner. And then I think the larger font sizes and thicker fonts will be great, especially with per-list theming. But until I get to that point, the micro font size is a huge help in letting me actually be able to look at a list and process all of the info I need from it. Thank you!
Thatâs great to hear! And weâre only beginning with Clear 2 ![]()
If I still had the eyes of a younger man, Iâd totally be using Nano. As it is, Micro is great. The padding also looks pretty good. Would still like to see the scaling up when moving up the hierarchy dialed back a bit, but I can live with it.
Great update ![]()
Can you include the fixes for the âsunsetâ theme and the âdone colorâ in gift clear, in the version 2.1.2?
Medium font size should be called âPerfectâ ![]()
I am LOVING the smaller font sizes! I thank you and my eyes thank you!
We will try on those bugs, at least one of them squished in 2.1.2 which will probably come pretty quickly. (Next week?)
And honestly naming it Perfect is very cute, probably better way to offer some recommendation and opinion without coming off slightly passive aggressive right now to info density people lol.
Relieved to hear from you all that the new font sizes are doing the job! It helped how quickly you all brought this dynamic font scaling regression/issue up with the 2.1, we were able to suspend its deployment (auto installs) until this hot fix.
I thought we were also supposed to get a quote widget? @phillryu is that still coming?
And we can find a cute one too for ânormalâ sound level. Let me sleep on it ![]()
Not yet! Thereâs a lot we want to do with widgets, 2.1.2 should bring checking off to them. And I think we will be adding some widget types over relatively early updates. (Font support is also high on this list.)
@phillryu are you still planning on giving non-interactive widgets to users below iOS 17?
So we looked into this quickly⌠unfortunately not the more trivial fix we were hoping for, I guess we had really been building with their latest tools and itâs more difficult to untangle. We may be able to look at this again when we have a breather, but it will be competing with other things.
The new widgets have been amazing. My more functional widgets are on page 2, and I usually have had my own artwork as a large widget on page 1 with 8 app icons under it.
But itâs a nice change to have one of the lists in a dark theme as a large widget instead. A bit like an âideas scratchpadâ for things you can keep an eye on.
Iâd like to second this. Iâm hoping that itâs a simple update that can happen soon. ![]()
Loving the update but shouldnât the personalise lists have its own bit rather being at the bottom of everything other section
The current split apart approach is not particularly elegant. We have a couple ideas of where this could be moved, but wanted some more time to think. This felt like a safe place to stick it for now. But I agree, a new section under Personalize is one of these options we should consider. (Just weighing this with some other stuff we may add to that level over time.)
