Beta Timeframe Update?

@phillryu Do you have any timeframe updates for when you will be starting the web server or app sync beta testing? Also, how will you choose who gets to participate? I am very interested in testing, so please count me in, if possible. Thanks!

I would say ‘as soon as late this month’! And we will definitely post in the forums recruiting for testers when it’s ready.

I would also love to participate! I’m sorry if this has been announced, but will the paid version have the functionality to share lists? I got my husband into clear and we’re dying to be able to share our grocery list.

That’s a couple steps ahead, but we do have plans. (Building the syncing infrastructure to support this future!)

Hi, any updates on the public update and web beta time frames?

  1. We’re preparing the toolbar update submission build later today.
  2. Then we will submit that as a phased release.
  3. And then I plan on posting initial sync TestFlight here, early next week!*

*Assuming no unexpected disasters!

Hi @phillryu - just checking back in. I haven’t seen the update come through or the web beta posting.

Any chance both of those will happen this week? So excited to be able to access & update my lists on my computers and iPad. Thanks!

We ran into a bug that we have been debugging this week. I will post when it’s ready, it’s important we get the data side solid vs. rushing it out. (And getting a little stressed offering rough estimates that we keep missing!)

I get it, not trying to stress you out. However, disappointed that I can’t use my lists from my computer & iPad. It would typically not be a big deal to wait, but we are waiting for something that we all used to have access to across the entire Apple ecosystem and it was taken away from us. I loved Clear and used it throughout the day, every day. I am frustrated that I have had to use other software that is not Clear in the meantime to get my work done. I just wish you could release the web beta that you said was working for your internal development team to us without it being attached to the new software update or fixing bugs. I appreciate all that you and your team are doing. It just feels like a lot of waiting and the communication has been minimal.
