Clear 2.8.7 Help please. I was so frustrated with the freezing, lagging and unresponsiveness that I removed the app and reinstalled. My lists have gone. How to recover?

After reinstalling Clear, my lists were still missing at first. While I was trying to find out how to recover them, my iPhone locked. When I unlocked it again a little later, Clear suddenly showed an “iCloud Backups Found” pop-up with the option to “Choose Backup”.
I selected the most recent backup and all my lists came back. 
So if you reinstall Clear and your lists initially appear to be gone, it may be worth giving Clear/iCloud a little time. In my case the restore prompt only appeared after the phone had locked and I unlocked it again.
Also happy to report that, so far, reinstalling seems to have solved the lagging, freezing and unresponsiveness as well.
