Recurrent lists and tasks

Hi there! First post in the community! I’ve been using the app for a couple of days now and I’m really enjoying its design, personalisation and minimalism so far.

One thing I like doing on other to do apps is setting up recurrent tasks or lists that will re-appear after X days. I’ve seen some people here mentioning doing that with shortcuts in the old Clear, and I’m looking forward to experimenting with that once shortcuts are working again in the new Clear, but I was wondering if there was another way to handle this use case that people are using.

So far, the best strategy I have found is archiving lists and bring them back, but you need to be careful not to clear the completed tasks because then they will be deleted for good. Are there any better ways to do this?

Thank you!

I agree that this would be very helpful. I like David Allen’s Getting Things Done with his weekly review. It would be great to be able to have items pop back up each week or monthly that you want to check on.

I have simply numbered recurrent items in my list, check them off as i do them. Then, the next day, for example, I can bring them up from the (crossed out) bottom, right to where they go back in my numbered list, to re-use again - super fast. Before I numbered them, it was a total pain, since it lost its place in my list when I restored it.

For me, since I need tasks to repeat daily, I have a template of some sort I just copy to “regenerate” items:

  1. List: Template contains said daily recurrent tasks.

  2. List: Main is my “main” list, which has everything I need to do for the day.

Islecicle, you’re a genius! This is a great workaround until they add custom templates to the List Library.
