I don’t want to directly engage with the poster earlier, but I will just note that syncing is a really costly project for us, and comes with ongoing server usage costs and work on multiple clients.
Clear 1.x as an indie business found itself in deep trouble because it didn’t properly account for this cost in what it charged.
For those reasons it really makes sense for it to be tied with subscription. I appreciate you all who are more understanding of this!
