On iPhones that support 3D Touch, you are able to press the screen to exit a level of the app. Seems like a good idea, but it didn’t work in practice. Picking up any items causes me to leave that level of the app. It also happens at other random times. I’ve had to turn it off for the whole device, because it has annoyed me so much.
My wish is either add a complications option which allows me to disable 3D Touch integration, or just remove it all together. I don’t see why anyone would want it, unless it got redone.
With all that said, thank you for all your work on the app, it’s come such a long way. May God bless you all!

I love the 3D Touch. Takes an unmistakably firm press for me to do it, don’t think it’s even happened by accident. Hmm.

Will be considering this. I have some attachment to that gesture because I think it’s the single best back gesture we’ve figured out so far (perhaps the threshold could be tuned so you have to press a bit harder), but it probably does not justify continuing to ship it. At best people will love it and then feel disappointed and confused when their new phone doesn’t function the same way. RIP 3D Touch.

Yeah, I think these considerations are all fair. I guess my main problem was not getting used to it.

The accidental pressing is its biggest flaw and to be clear I was agreeing with you! That it is probably best for Clear to remove this.
If the latest iPhones still had 3D Touch we would want to make that the single back gesture and improve on that one issue though. But alas, they killed it off entirely.
But it was quite beautiful in that:
• It was always right there, wherever you want as the entire screen as a button, and with one hand (avoiding respective issues of pull to go back and pinch to go back)
• You could do things like pick up an item, then press to back out and drop it off in another list, literally without lifting your finger from the screen!
• (So up until Apple gave up on the technology, we thought this could be the one back gesture to rule them all for Clear 2)
I kind of feel like there is an alternate reality where Apple used it for this instead (a universal back gesture) and it was much more widely used and beloved than the ‘pop and peek’ type stuff they tried and perhaps was still a thing today.

3D touch for getting to another level was an absolute joy when I had iPhoneX. Too bad Apple removed 3D touch. Still can’t get used to the current way of getting to another level… wish Apple bring it back so Clear can be used much more effectively!
