Clear Desktop – Early Preview

I like the desktop better than the web version.

However I get a “checking your access” screen every time I change lists.

Just now, I was not able to edit lists from my keyboard.

Logged out and back in, but no change. Then after a while editing was possible again. Changed to another list and no editing … very disconcerting.

Also I’m really missing the Simple Styles on the desktop.

When I use a password, it says “This Apple Account has been locked for security reasons.” with a link to unlock the account, When I click that it goes to an Apple page that does not let me unlock (it just spins forever). Here is the kicker, my Apple account isn’t locked! All my other apps are working just fine. Help!

I know this might potentially be a privacy concern for you, but would it be possible to make a screen recording and send it to us? If not, I understand.

Also, are you working with good network conditions? Do you experience this all the time?

Please share a screenshot. The code is straightforward in handling sign-in cases, so I’m a little surprised, but there might be a thing or two we are not thinking about here.

Will Clear Desktop have the ability, in a future version, to have a separate window for each list? Similar to the old Clear Desktop app (which I am still using by the way!)

Right now, the infrastructure isn’t planned for that, but this is a good point for the roadmap

New question. How do you clear (pardon the pun) a list? When I have list that is partially complete, with the old desktop app I was able to either pull up or click on the completed section to clear out the completed tasks. With this new one, it looks like I have to select the text of the lists and delete them that way, which seems counterintuitive to the simplicity of the app.

How long might it take to get access? I’m on the waitlist and I’m SO EXCITED! I’ve been using clear since 2012, and I’ve been a pro member for so long! This is my Avengers Endgame.
