How to pinch to insert a thought into a list ? I’m trying to get this Reward.
Think of the gesture as doing a reverse-pinch. Put your two fingers together real close and then slide them apart. It should open up a new entry between two items.

Would someone be able to tell me what the TestFlight exclusives are? Want to make sure I have them all.

I got the launch week collectibles, Heatmap theme, and Dopamine+ sound. I didn’t get the Test Pilot icon, Classic app icon, or Helvetica font. I’ve been using Clear since the first one came out and I’ve been beta testing this new one for a while now (at least a couple years, I would guess). Hopefully there’s a workaround!

I’m sorry to disappoint but this is going all in on this new version for the future.
I will update the first post in this thread with some FAQ going more in depth, but the reasoning behind this crappy feeling decision was so we can focus our limited indie resources on giving new Clear the best chance possible for a future, and also move people off of the old Clear codebase etc. which is kind of a ticking time bomb. It is so ancient it gets more and more hairy each year with raising App Store update requirements and new Xcode versions that it felt there was a worst case situation brewing, like a mass data stranding disaster.
If you miss certain qualities or features or interactions etc. you can post those, will be continuing to try to make Clear as useful and cozy as possible for you all but on this new foundation.
I would also maybe give it a few days if you’re up for it. There were a good number of testers who were initially upset at the amount of change, but with a bit of time with it discovered new things they liked, got adjusted to certain changes etc. and really turned around. (And many rounds of feedback and some adjustments/accommodations on development side through the beta to improve things.) But yeah I do apologize I know this is not an ideal situation.

Hey Phill, I just noticed in the shop that there’s an item that says “App Update Required”, it wasn’t in there since the public release came out earlier today, it possibly went in some time over the last hour, figured I’d send the note your way.
I completed all 10 Gift Clear. I hope in the future update when someone complete this, it will disappear.

Noted. I am thinking about moving this / splitting Rewards list which feels a tad overwhelming now into some sublists as well. (E.g. Tutorial, Advanced, Gift Clear sublists when you tap into Rewards).
I actually like the Rewards tab as-is, where everything is sorted by “progress”. If you did add tabs, I would just hope that “All” was one of them

Thanks for this response, apologies for my unwarranted venting (maybe this wasn’t the place for it and i have no idea how running an app works). but youre right, ive been playing around with it more and im warming up to it already(maybe starting to even like it more). i found the old themes for free in the store and appreciate that, and ive been having some fun unlocking the rewards (which focusing on have helped me relearn how to navigate the new app) and having a ton of customization options to play around with has been really satisfying actually. glad that the app wasnt just abandoned or deleted and am appreciative of the work.

I enjoyed our time together too man, bummed the progression reset hit you that hard. I hope to see you back someday in the future when we’ve made some improvements. Seriously regret the rewards / old Clear collection not carrying over in hindsight of course, it may’ve really been worth delaying launch further some for that.
We do have you all ‘tagged’ as being brand new vs. testers or old users updating so we’ll be thinking about how to make up for it. (And I threw the classic theme ports we had on hand in the shop for free for now too.)

I’m a little confused about how the “gift clear” thing works. I shared my referral link and I know at least two people downloaded from it, but nothing has changed that I can tell. Do they need to make a purchase from the store?
I’m not too concerned about it, more just curious as to how to find out what I’ve earned through the referral link.
EDIT: I guess maybe there was just a delay, the first one unlocked.

I believe there’s a lot of hidden themes and fonts. Is there a way to know how to get them ? Because a lot of them are hidden and not listed under Rewards tab

When I started the beta i lost the sync for iPad/iPhone. I can understand that.
So now I’ve loaded Clear2 and deleted the beta I have lost all my themes etc and no sync. I still have separate lists on my phone and iPad? Suggestions?

Unfortunately with the syncing you should think of Clear iPhone / iPad as separate experiences for now. The only thing that will ‘sync’ is any store purchases (including free) if you use the restore purchases option on the other device.
We obviously hope to get to syncing eventually, it is just a surprisingly complex/big project to tackle (again), and similar to Clear’s codebase in general the syncing engine is like ancient and behind modern codes so far beyond repurposing.
