Would love to replace one of these with a clear shortcut

It’s a workaround, but you can use the Shortcuts app for this. Just make a new one, select, “Open App”, and set it to Clear. Rename that shortcut something like “Open Clear” so you can easily find it from a dropdown menu later if you need.
You can then add a Shortcuts widget that points to that shortcut, either in the top row beneath the time or in one of the two bottom slots.

I you’re willing to use one of the two bottom controls, the ones that currently choose the flashlight and camera, you don’t even need to create a shortcut, since one option for those spots is “Open app”. Personally, I find the camera button in the lower right useless anyhow, since I can get to the camera just by swiping left on the lock screen.
