Clear 2.4.3 TestFlight (Repeating Tasks + New Toolbar)

Awesome, test flight installed

When a reminder goes off and we press and hold on notification and select reschedule, should the date and time be expanded already when opening up that task to reschedule ?
Currently it takes you to task and we still have to select alarm icon on toolbar to expand date and time to reschedule.

I didn’t realise the swipe hitbox for the toolbar extends from the top of the keyboard all the way to the top of the page.

My Clear muscle memory swipes the keyboard back down after entering a task for years. Possible suggestion to reduce the swipe hitbox to just above the keyboard?

That does sound like a bug, will look into this.

Honestly @VO3 we had initially tried localized swipe but it felt really easy to miss and more to explain. My hope is that if you are using the setting, it’s infrequent enough that you need the toolbar so the occasional double swipe down to exit when you do is a reasonable compromise. Let me know if the muscle memory annoyance eases some with some more days with it.

No worries, yeah I thought it could get tricky with a smaller hitbox.

It’s cool, I was just trying out the swipe settings. The new toolbar feels minimal and unobtrusive enough that I’ve left it on all the time so that’s not a problem anymore.

Naw not for me. I was removed at some point prior to the pro TestFlight. Not sure how as I’d been in TF forever but for whatever reason it occurred somehow. It doesn’t even show up in my previously tested apps.

I think it’s probably because the old group you were in had no new build in it for a while after the last one expired? But to clarify were you able to join the new group and grab this beta?

BTW for everyone on this build, please let me know if you notice a bug where the keyboard stops sliding in (the animation). I ran into this over the weekend, and now unable to reproduce getting the app stuck in this state! And it’s bugging me and would love to figure this out before shipping.

Yep I believe the last build I used was the one prior to the pro beta TestFlight. It had the watch app included plus a few other newer things but I guess that build was removed and replaced with the betas testing the pro integration. Once that happened, and I deleted the previous TestFlight, I wasn’t allowed into the newer one (said it was full). Strangely the older TestFlight build I had been using didn’t say “build removed” but that I was removed.

I just upped the tester limit by another +20 if you’d like to grab it!

You are a giant among mortals my friend! My world can now continue to rotate as normal, haha! Thanks a ton!!

Can you clarify the “sliding in” part? Do you mean when you open a new space to add a thought/task, etc. where the keyboard slides up from the bottom? So far for me I haven’t noticed any other behavior unless I’m missing what you meant. I’ll keep a lookout though.

Yep that animation when the keyboard appears. That’s good to hear, I haven’t run into it myself since I saw it… so hopefully it’s at least some edge-case bug. If so we will probably submit and release this update next week.

Good deal. Ya I still haven’t seen it so hopefully it was a random glitch. I’m really liking the new toolbar. I think it makes the most sense overall without feeling cumbersome or bloated.

Hey all, I just pushed an updated TestFlight. This is a possible release candidate.

Some new things:
• Fixes for data backend in preparation for sync TestFlight
• Plain text export includes styled text in rich text format
• Fixed visual glitch when swiping list title right to share as image
• Toggling reminder after typing in a time or date will fill in selector wheel

Most importantly please report any issues or soft crashes. We’re not expecting them after some internal testing and debugging, but with the data changes under the hood we need to be very careful with this rollout!

If all seems good we should be releasing this update next week as a phased rollout on App Store. And if that goes smoothly, sync / Clear Web TestFlight will be up next!

Hi Phill. Missed the chatter about TF until now… noticed Beta is currently full. Will there be a chance of increasing tester limit again?

Thanks

Honestly we are wrapping up testing on this version, but keep an eye out for the next TestFlight recruitment post, it will be an interesting one.

Next week hopefully :crossed_fingers:

I have just pushed one more TestFlight (and resubmitted 2.4.3 for App Store) with a crash fix involved with the sync preparations.

Please report in this thread if you encounter any crashes while on this new TestFlight!

If the submission goes through, we plan on releasing it as a phased release to roll out over the following week.

And will internally be moving forward to prepare an initial iOS syncing + Clear Web TestFlight. When that is ready I will post a separate thread recruiting testers :flexed_biceps:

Just grabbed the app update. Love, love, love. You guys really solved some problems here, and the recurring items is huge. My dream with those is for them to reappear in the order they are set to and not the order they are crossed out in (unless I’m mistaken), but I can work with this.

Sweet! I do feel pretty good about the toolbar and repeating tasks.

Yeah it does regenerate based on the order you checked them off. Will see what people think of the current behavior once it rolls out to more people.

Will post a thread about the release in a bit.
