So I used to be able to swipe on a listing and it would allow me to set a date and time to notify me.. I went to try this swipe today and I see no more option for setting a reminder. I need that for chores list.
Please advise if that option has been moved to another gesture or location.
Assuming you’re on the app store version, just tap the top right corner of the item while editing (i.e., with the keyboard visible). Yet another way is being tested right now in the testflight version, where the option is accessible from the keyboard. (But I don’t use the testflight version, so don’t know the details.)
Incidentally, I just noticed that once I have cleared a reminder on an item, I can no longer set a new one on that item. The maintainers might want to check that this bug is not propagated to the next version. (Perhaps it’s gone already?)
Thanks! Now I can set reminders again! Hope the devs bring back an icon again in future update to tap to set reminder which is much more intuitive then typing a date to see the option appear.
Speaking of that Ben, if we choose to use the toolbar hidden can we get the “set reminder” back again, or at least a way to recognise the written date and time and pop the toolbar.
So currently the setting to “hide” the toolbar allows the swipe up/down gestures (with the keyboard open) to toggle the toolbar. This should allow you to basically operate without the toolbar visible until only the moments you need it, with a quick swipe up.
Yes, I know. But somehow I miss the using natural language to set the reminder as before. Thought there could be an option to have it back. At least for me is quicker to type than scrolling through date and time.
We’re considering a middle ground here! Something like having the natural language still detect the typed out date or times and pre-setting the wheel to that selection when activating the reminder. Not sure if this will make it for the initial launch of the toolbar, but will be patched in if not.
