Will there be a Mac version for new Clear? (or iPad, or Apple Watch?)

One of the biggest features that I miss is the ability to see all of my lists on the left and each list would show to the right of it when the list was selected. I was able to see this layout on both my Mac and my iPad when I turned it sideways. I was then able to easily move items from one list to another quickly and easily. I just tried to mirror my iPhone to my Mac and while it is something, it is not a feasible option for using Clear as my go to productivity tool. Will your upcoming beta have the overview side panel and individual list to the right - all in one view that I mentioned above? Also, may have missed it, but did you have an estimate of how much you would be charging per mo / yr for the sync subscription? Thanks!

It’s an official Apple app! Here’s their support document: iPhone Mirroring: Use your iPhone from your Mac - Apple Support

Should be installed already if you’re on the latest MacOS I think.

@Mer currently no, but I will think on this. Agree on iPad in particular in landscape, it’s currently quite an inefficient use of space.

Syncing when ready will be included in Clear Pro, so for you (as a legacy user with discount) it will be $2.99/month or $24.99/yr.

If you add pressing space to clear all your completed tasks, then I’ll stop asking about the macos OS app. And swiping to go back would be welcome. The swipe down to go back is the most annoying UX of all time.

I use pinch out to go back
Sometimes I use space to start a list item so that would be dangerous
Does command +Z work for undo?

I use pinch out to go back

Also gross UX

The old macOS app used to press space and a nice sound would play as you cleared all the completed items.

I didn’t say undo. I said to clear all the completed tasks.

Also gross UX

On the old Mac app we had ⌘+⬆︎ to go up a level. That was nice

I didn’t say undo

I jumped around in my head. If space bar cleared completed items then I would want ⌘+Z available to undo it

I do think we could add some more shortcuts like this, but will probably want something with a modifier key for a destructive action like clearing. (And with just ‘type to create’ it would currently interfere too, we have the ‘caption’ formatting if you start a space with an item so it’s something people might do.)

Escape key backs out in the current builds btw! (And command + 1-9 to quick switch between your top lists.)

I just wanted to check and see if there were any further thoughts of a Mac version. I’d love to have widgets on my desktop - that’s the only thing holding me back from getting the Pro subscription! Or, at least let me natively install the iPhone version on a Mac. I see that work is going on a web version, which will be great, but a way to natively install it will be even better!

I think we need the web client and syncing in a stable place before we can even start thinking again about a native Mac client. (And honestly the business will need to reach some threshold too where we feel we can responsibly take on that project, both the up front initial development costs, but also the ongoing support and maintenance for another client app.)

I will note that the latest Mac OS actually does let you add iPhone app widgets to your Mac, so you can view your Clear lists on the phone there! (But no editing.)
