# Undo for accidental swipes

Good day. I can’t count the number of times while testing I’ve accidentally swiped at an angle instead of straight up and watched items from my lists go away with no way to get them back. Could shake-to-undo be considered for issues like this, or am I just going to be told to swipe more carefully?

Or perhaps a _Trash Can_ with a _Restore from Trash_ option?
A setting in _Settings_ to:
- move deleted items (lists) to _Trash Can_
- move deleted items (lists) to _Archive_

This would be great! Today I accidentally deleted a task and couldn’t remember what it was so this feature would be a real lifesaver!

It used to undo the last “delete” command by shaking the phone, but seems no more.

Commenting back here bc I just wrote an entertaining four-line reminder for myself, accidentally swiped it out of existence, and have shaken my phone every which way without triggering “shake to undo”
I’d like to get that item back if possible, but this also highlights an ongoing problem I’ve had: At least 75% of the time I do something to trigger “shake to undo,” it’s by accident. When I actually intend to, I sometimes have real trouble getting the option to pop up. Is there a specific motion that’s most effective?
