# How can the reminder function be this hard?

How does the reminder function work now? I’m swiping “past the green checkbox” just to check the item off, and now I get to write it again. it was sooooo easy before…what am I missing? Super super frustrating!

Hey, apologies for the confusion there. Currently, Clear recognizes typed out dates & times and displays an “add reminder” button at the top of the keyboard.

You may also tap in the top right corner of any item you are editing to access the date & time selector.

Would it be possible to reintroduce the ability to create a reminder by swiping, as it was before?

Hi, no plans to bring it back as the exact old gesture due to double-loading and some confusion reported by other users, but we are working on an alternative here that (hopefully) makes things easier without seeming too cluttered:
